Claythorn House
This new facility is the Hospital Based Acute Admissions unit based within Gartnavel Royal campus. It is part of our Learning Disability Services, which provide healthcare services for people with a learning disability. In general people with a learning disability access healthcare in the same way as everyone else. Within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde there is an emphasis on ensuring equal access to all NHS services.
Claythorn has been developed to provide specialist InPatient Assessment & Treatment for people with a Learning Disability who also expereince mental ill-health and where these needs cannot be met safely within Generic Services.
